The accountant stays close to the business. All year round.
Egbenn Accountancy is an ACCA registered practice for owner-managed businesses across Hertfordshire and London. Crosby Enninful ACCA leads the work and takes every client call himself. The books stay current, so tax, hiring and expansion can be discussed before the owner commits.

Why Crosby built Egbenn
It began when a friend asked Crosby to handle his new company’s accounts.
Crosby Enninful studied accounting and finance and knew at university that he would eventually build his own firm. His first client was a friend who had started a business and needed the accounts handled properly. After more than a decade in the profession, Crosby had seen the same gap repeatedly: the forms were filed, yet owners still had nobody to call before a hire, a purchase or a tax deadline.
Egbenn Accountancy was founded in 2019 around a simple working rule: stay close enough to the business to be useful. Bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, CIS and tax are kept up to date through the year. Crosby explains what has changed, gives his opinion and agrees the monthly fee before work starts. Every client can speak directly to him.
Today, Egbenn works with owner-managed limited companies and established sole traders across Hertfordshire and London. The work has included building job costing for a construction company so the owner could see which projects made money, and costing larger premises and extra staff before a salon owner signed. The firm limits the number of clients it takes on, so Crosby can stay involved as each business grows.
How the work gets done
These rules govern ordinary months, year ends and the awkward jobs that need Crosby’s judgement.
Keep the books ready for decisions
The bookkeeping stays current through the year, with VAT, payroll, CIS and tax deadlines handled from the same books. When a van, hire or lease needs a decision, Crosby can work from what is happening now.
Say what the numbers mean
A report earns its place when it changes a decision. Crosby explains which jobs made money, what the next employee is expected to cost and what the corporation tax position looks like before the owner commits.
Agree the fee before work starts
Egbenn sets a fixed monthly fee before the work begins. The scope is written down, timesheets never become invoices, and a growing business can ask a question without wondering whether the clock has started.
Keep Crosby close to every client
Egbenn limits the number of clients it takes on. Crosby takes every client call himself, follows the work through the year and already knows the decision behind the question when the owner gets in touch.
