What does Egbenn’s monthly fee include?
For ongoing clients, the fixed monthly fee can cover bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and CIS. It can also cover year-end accounts, corporation tax and the director’s personal tax. HMRC enquiry, disclosure or restoration work is scoped after Crosby reviews the case. The fee is agreed before work starts.
Can Egbenn handle an HMRC investigation if I already have an accountant?
Yes. Egbenn often works with owners who already have an accountant but need direct help with HMRC. Crosby first establishes who holds the relevant returns and supporting documents. No change is made until the scope is understood. If a wider switch makes sense, Egbenn manages the handover.
Do we have to move accounting software?
Usually, no immediate software change is required to review an HMRC letter or prepare a disclosure. Crosby first checks what information exists and whether it supports the returns involved. If ongoing bookkeeping needs correcting, any software decision is explained before changes are made.
What happens with our current accountant?
Your current accountant may need to provide returns, calculations and supporting documents. Egbenn can request these through the usual professional handover process if you decide to switch. The timing is planned around open deadlines. Catch-up work is identified and agreed before it begins.
How do HMRC investigations and voluntary disclosure work?
An HMRC enquiry starts with questions about a return or claim. A voluntary disclosure begins when undeclared income or another error needs correcting. Egbenn reviews the relevant periods, prepares the explanation and calculations, submits the response and manages correspondence. The final decision remains with HMRC.
Can Egbenn restore a dissolved company with money in the bank?
Yes, Egbenn handles company restorations rather than sending them elsewhere. The work can include preparing the restoration application, bringing outstanding filings up to date and guiding directors through the bank’s release process. The facts of each company determine what is required, and access to funds depends on completing the relevant steps.
